November Community Update

As positivity rates in our area and across the state continue to climb, we are carefully watching information shared by the CCDPH, IDPH, and Governor regarding COVID mitigations. One piece of information we wanted to share directly is the IDPH Decision Tree for helping schools determine how to address and investigate potential COVID cases.

Governor Pritzker offers daily updates (2:30pm, streamed live on-line) and his messages include updates on vaccines, infections, and the possibility of another potential stay-at-home order. Some reports indicate that another stay-at-home order is coming, while others say this will exclude schools; the truth of the matter is that we will have to wait and see. What we do know is that we have had no known COVID transmissions at school and have a well-developed and functional plan that equally prioritizes both academics and safety for staff and students. As more information is shared from the local and state Health Departments, we will continue to keep our families informed.

We are so very proud of our teachers and staff for their commitment to students and the educational process. We are equally proud of our students and their families, for the sacrifices and inconveniences being endured to make school in a COVID era possible. Thank you, sincerely, for the incredible efforts demonstrated and for pulling together as an educational community!
