The students showed their adaptability, resilience and stamina. The teachers and staff showed their instructional integrity, compassion and growth mindset. Our families showed their flexibility, collaboration and support. We could not have done this without all three groups working together in unison.
As a district, we looked to create a schedule that allowed our students to be afforded the opportunity to attend school in-person if desired, while following safety and health protocols. We are proud of the tremendous effort that has taken from everyone involved and we are already seeing the benefits of providing this learning experience to our students. When we look at weeks in our school calendar that include days off, we weighed the pros and cons of keeping our current schedule consistent or making adjustments to account for those days. For the upcoming week of Labor Day, we will keep our schedule consistent, which means we will have Monday off school as a Holiday and proceed with the week as outlined in Phase 2 of our Return to Learning plan.
