Illinois 5Essentials Survey

Beginning this week, students across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the ninth annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey.

Fastbridge Benchmarking

The district will be conducting benchmarking for grades 1-5 over the next two weeks. Three times a year we take a snapshot of our entire student population in the areas of reading and mathematics.  The district uses Fastbridge, a reliable and valid measure, to accomplish this.

[UPDATE] Information on Impending Winter Weather

The safety and security of all District 142 students, families, and staff is of utmost importance. Therefore, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 26, Forest Ridge School District 142 will be canceling In-Person (Hybrid A) learning due to anticipated severe weather conditions overnight. This is NOT a snow day.

With reports of heavy and blowing snow coming our way, the District is monitoring the weather very closely. In the event that we cancel In-Person instruction due to inclement weather, you will be notified as soon as possible via our SwiftReach notification system by text and email. Additionally, the In-Person cancelation will be posted on the District website and social media.

Update to Quarantine Procedures

In looking through the current CCDPH, IDPH, and CDC guidelines, Forest Ridge School District 142 wanted to set administrative procedures for quarantines that were concise, consistent, and clearly communicated to staff and our families.

December Community Update

Forest Ridge School District 142 is committed to the health and safety of our students, staff, and families. Following identified protocols is of the utmost importance.  As a reminder, all staff members, visitors to the building and students over the age of two must wear a face mask while at school and on a school bus, consistent with guidance issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
